ALRO received the visit of His Excellency, Mr. Gudsi Dursun oglu Osmanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Romania

Slatina, 24 December 2024 – ALRO S.A. (BVB: ALR, “the Company” or “ALRO”), one of the largest vertically integrated aluminium producers in Europe, measured by production capacity, had as a guest, during the past week, His Excellency, Mr. Gudsi Dursun oglu Osmanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Romania, together with Răzvan Pîrcălăbescu, Cabinet Director at the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism.
Marian Năstase, Chairman of the Board of Directors at ALRO and Marin CILIANU, Chief Executive Officer of ALRO, presented the main characteristics of the industrial platform, the technology and the production process, as well as the range of products manufactured at ALRO. The cooperation between companies from Azerbaijan and ALRO was one of the main points of discussion, His Excellency, Mr. Gudsi Dursun oglu Osmanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Romania pointing out the elements of common interest between ALRO and companies from his country, for the intensification of future collaboration.
ALRO has invested more than 900 million USD over the past 20 years in state-of-the-art technology, streamlining technological processes and environmental protection, which has led to the expansion of the product range, the strengthening of its position in sophisticated international markets, such as the aeronautical industry or auto. These investments have also led to a significant decrease in energy consumption, an increase in the recycling capacity of aluminium scrap and a reduction in the Company's ecological footprint.
